bird mural in the museumWe are excited to offer field trips to the Farm and Museum for either a school group or your private group. Great for homeschoolers or scout groups! We have themed tours or can put together one specially designed for your group. Themed tours include:

Bugs Galore (click for more info)

Geology: the Science of Rocks (click for more info)

Kalapuya Harvest (click for more info)

On the Wing (Birds)

All children and adults that are visiting the museum must have a signed liability waiver. We also request that the teacher carry emergency information for each child attending, or provide us with the Participant Info form for each child. Also please review with your students our Safety Policies Sheet.

School tours are $2 per child suggested donation. No one is turned away for lack of funds.

Liability release:
When you book your tour, you will be provided with the address and directions to get to the farm. Please review the safety policies sheet before your visit. Each family (or child) must bring a signed liability release. Anyone who does not have this form signed will not be permitted to attend the museum.

School Buses:
The museum has a circular driveway so that school buses may easily pull in and circle around to go back out.

Dogs:
There are two friendly dogs who live at the museum. Children should be aware of this before they come, and please make special arrangements for any child who is uncomfortable around dogs. Please don't bring dogs to the museum without special permission.

Parking:
There is limited parking for cars at the museum, and before your visit you should let us know how many cars you will need to park on site. The walk to the museum is not far from the parking area.

Inclement Weather:
For safety reasons (big trees), we cannot have visitors at the museum during high winds, and we may need to reschedule your visit if high winds are expected.

Amenities:
The bathrooms at the museum are port-a-potty type and there is no drinking water available. Visitors should plan to bring a water bottle. There is a hand washing station. There is no land line telephone at the museum itself, though the tour guide will have a cell phone. Please bring your own phone if neccesary.

Please call Karen 2 days before your scheduled tour to re-confirm that you plan to attend. Thank you!
