Volunteer Opportunities
We are a completely volunteer run facility and we have frequent volunteer work parties at the museum (see our calendar). Families and individuals are encouraged to participate to improve our museum and events. It's fun to volunteer- you get up close and personal with the museum and feel good about your work. When you work on a project you get not only our thanks but the satisfaction of contributing to a wonderful place.

We are currently looking for knowledgeable volunteers to lead walks and teach children and families. For general volunteering, no special knowledge is necessary. We need handypersons, painters, cleaners, organizers, errand runners, weed pullers, trail clearers, and animal holders. When we have a Playshop, we need people to run the check-in table and help at lunch time with accomodations.
If your child is attending a School Day Out Program, you are welcome to come out that day and participate. Contact Karen to discuss how you can be a bigger part of the museum. Thanks!
Butterfly Garden Club!!
Do you love our butterfly garden? Want to be part of a cool club to take care of it this summer? We need you to come out once a month and weed and water the garden; we'll show you how the first time. Also look for butterflies while you are there and record what you see. Join us for our thank you party at the end of the summer! We thank you- and so do the butterfllies! Call Karen to register at 541 968-1986.
